The design was to have only 2 colors and have a “dinosaur” theme. Working with those two specifications, I got to work on a simple and clean design that I am truly proud of. The inspiration for the color pallet came from the sunsets and desert vibes that are common in areas where most cacti thrive best. I graduated from Appalachian State University with a degree in Graphic Arts & Imaging Technology and a minor in Business. Over the past 7 years working as a professional in the technology industry, I have developed unique skills in both User Interface Design and User Experience Design. My career began in Web Design, where I focused primarily on redesigning websites for many associations and membership-based organizations. It was through this experience that I gained valuable project management experience and honed my skills in visual design. adjust the filtering format to use dropdown multi-selectors. This made the searching more intuitive and allowed users to see how many filters were applied. After testing, it didn’t seem intuitive for making multi-selections, and the “By Date” filter didn’t match the patterns for the rest of the filters. The quantity of events and the intention behind the date filtering options made this layout make more sense to the end user.
